Thanks for pointing that out. Apparently he changed his name
several times:

Perhaps in my book research I'll find out why he made the change from
"Nguyen" to "Ho", both of which are highly significant names in
Vietnam's history. His extensive study of history means that the
change was almost certainly related to the Ho Dynasty and Tay-Son
rebellion.

There is such a thing as being (bitterly?) ironic. I remember reading of a Greek tyrant back about the 4th Century BC who had the sobriquet "Sacker of Cities" who failed to conquer Thebes I think it was and gave up his siege. That title may be ironic, bestowed on him by the Thebans.

I don't have the income right now to afford $100. Times are rather tough for me. How much will the completed paper edition cost? I would rather have that than a digital edition.
I can certainly appreciate that.

To save costs, we will just put out the book in pdf format. The final book would be $20-25.

Each copy will be watermarked to show the purchaser (that way, if bootleg copies get out, we can trace them to a source). You can print the pdf, either at home or at a copy place. Sorry, but printing will be up to you.
I don't see the country having a fully functioning postal service after the election. I really would like to buy a couple copies of this book, maybe three copies, but I need to have it before Election Day.

This country is on the brink.

SMEs with a revenue of 200 billion dong ($8.8 million) will also see a 30% reduction in corporate income taxes.
That's a lot of dong.

The "First Quarter" of the manuscript of "How to Prepare for What's Coming" is now ready.

If you have donated $100 or more to the campaign, you can now get this material. You should have received a confirmation code (note that some of you only donated $50. In that case, your code is for when the book is half done, which is not yet).

Please send your confirmation code to me by email to this address:

navigator@comingstorms.com

I will then send you a watermarked copy of the manuscript. Note that your copy is for YOU ONLY, it is copyrighted by my company, and it is watermarked and password protected for a reason (that we can continue to get funding for completing it, and for supporting John's efforts here).

Please give me up to a day to get your email, prepare your personal copy, and send it to you by email.
I'd like to donate but only up to $20. Would this help? Should I just wait for the manuscript at your website? Thanks.

What do you think is going to happen?

I find dire predictions and sites like this amusing, because I believe structurally that there are great problems too, but like the economy, it seems everyone predicts calamites for years or decades and then spends even more years explaining why "It hasn't happened yet."

Any donation will help move it along. At this point there is not enough funding to get the next quarter of the book done. We need to get to $2350 in this campaign to get to that point. Funding campaign at this site:

https://www.gofundme.com/f/coming-storms-preparation

$20 would probably get you the book when it is done. I haven't discussed the final price yet with John.

I was sent a note saying my email address is unavailable.

You can reach me at

navigator@comingstorms.com

We currently need an additional $1500 in the campaign for the next quarter section of the book.
