OK, now you really have to tell me -- is it me that am annoying, or
is it the subject matter?

This sounds pretty horrible. I can't find any definition of "life"
as a transitive verb, or as a verb at all. What happened?

The Recovery Era ends around 18 years after the climax of the war.
That's because 18 years is the time when the first wave of children
growing up after the war can make their voices heard en masse,
through protests, boycotts, and so forth.

The next Crisis Era begins around 58 years after the climax of the
previous crisis war. That's because 58 years is the length of time
between when a child first becomes aware of what's going on in the
world and when he becomes unable to exercise power (retires or dies).

These two waypoints -- 18 years and 58 years -- are fixed because
human childhoods are fixed and human lifetimes are fixed. There are
individual variations, of course, but when you're talking about an
entire generation, then the individual variations average out to 18
and 58 years, respectively.

The "80" thing refers to the length of a human lifetime.

Aloha!

the 58 Year Hypothesis.

The 58 Year Hypothesis applies to any situation where a catastrophic
event occurs that affects the entire population.

Focusing on the crisis war cycle, 58 years is the length of time from
the end of the crisis war -- more specifically the crisis war climax
-- to the beginning of the next Fourth Turning Crisis era -- 1945 to
2003 in the current context. The 58 Years is a hard number -- it
depends ONLY on generational changes, and is not affected by events.

The 80 year span refers to something completely different -- the end
of one crisis war to the end of the next crisis war -- 1945 to 2025 in
the current context. However, this is NOT a hard number, since it
depends on the start and length of the crisis war, and that depends on
the time when the Regeneracy occurs, which is an external event at
variable times. So the 80 year span can become a 70 year span or a 90
year span, depending on when the Regeneracy occurs.

Code: Select all

|-----------------------------------------|-------|......|
| | | War |
| 4T Regeneracy Climax2
| Recovery Awakening Unraveling | Crisis |
Climax1 Climax1+58 Climax1+80?
1945 2003 2025?
[/b]
58 + 22 = 80 !!!

58 = "Old and formidable"
80 = "Old and effectively dead"
22 = "reproductive generation"

NARRATIVE:

The time of "climax+58":
"58"ers viscerally feel "threatened", as they will be dead in one generation.
"58"ers seek to stabilize "the world" to protect their offspring.
"36"ers resent "58"ers, but are "quiet".
"14"ers resent the "36"ers, and are "allies" of the "58"ers, but are too young to "help".
The "-08"ers haven't been born yet.

Time passes (08 to 20 years):
..paranoia and frustration have amplified..
When the "14"ers can "help" the "58"ers by "PERSUADING" the "36"ers to "join the cause", there is war.

The Generations:
+58 | +36 | +14 | -08
+66 | +44 | +22 | +00

Found the old password in a rather deep dark recess of my convoluted brain... <spooky!>

Weirdly, I don't find you annoying at all, 'though WHY I really find strange as most everyone is annoying to me, and you being an exception is.. kinda.. interesting. I'll have to think on that one...

<chuckle!> Uh,.. don't worry about it overly. It was more a "There's no time to do ANYTHING but THIS CRAP!!" sort of thing.

BUT,.. I did get a newer nicer laptop, a new abode, a 400 times faster internet connection, and a HUGE savings in rent for a MASSIVELY nicer place!

The only actually BAD thing was a sore shoulder from BOXES,.. many of which I STILL haven't unloaded after 2 months in the new place.

..but it's sore,.. REALLY sore! I swear. And the other one too,.. a little.

I'll get to the rest of your questions after the Gutfeld show is over,.. gotta get my Greggy...! :) He's only slightly taller than I am...

If you don't find me annoying, that's super-strange, because I'm
annoying to most everyone, you being a rare exception. Weird!

I'm watching it too. That guy who pretends to be Adam Schiff is

I'm the guest who asked about you. I can't say I really like you, generally speaking, I don't like much of what you have to say, BUT I did truly like your commentary on death on a sailboat.

This has been a year of severe highs and lows for me. My future is uncertain.

"Death on a Sailboat",... great title for a book.

You should DEFINITELY write that book. You're welcome to fish for weirdness to make it interesting from my numerous and fertile brain cells!

Ask and you shall receive. Giving is better than receiving, but receiving from me is often confused with giving, so there may be a two'fer in it for ya if you play your cards right.

And I do give discount credits to those who state in public that they "Can't say they really like me".

That kind of honesty/humor deserves recognition! :) Aloha y'all..!!

Well, my favorite theory of our "odd compatibility" is that I'm simply you pretending to be me pretending not to be you.

There are obvious flaws with that, but it does make the ganglia twitch to consider, does it not, John Yahyah...!?
..or are you John Smallberries?

(Gratuitous Buckeroo Banzai semi-quote tossed in there for spice!)

I said I would take responsibility for keeping the forum online if the stock market crashed. Otherwise, I'll be too busy trying to navigate the market if it hasn't crashed yet.

If that happens, I do not intend to do anything except keep the web site and forum operating so that people can read the archives and continue to use the forum.

What will happen 58 years from the Cuban Missile Crisis?
