Long time lurker. Interesting bunch of messages and ideas you all have here.

I think you should all be thinking more eschatology than anything else, if you are going to go as far as many of the bombastic ideas I've seen. The global elites have had all of this in the planning, but now that they realize most people don't believe in anything, they don't even care to pretend anymore. Covid is just a test run, a testament to weak people given over to the "lie."

Mr. Xenakis, I will be following your blogs.

Who in the hell wants to go to a restaurant right now in a big city?

Waiter how are you enjoying the view of the daily riots while you eat?

Oh, also be sure to watch out for the stray bullets that happen to hit our customers every once in a while.

Service/hospitality/retail jobs were the substitute when the industrial jobs went overseas. Even though Reagan and the rest of the neoliberals kept talking about sunrise industries replacing sunset industry, the only industry that grew was customer service. And now, with the shutdowns and curfews predicated on a disease, that one's gone too. The only thing left will be obeying the oligarchs. And their tastes hardly bear thinking about.

The one thing that will come out of this is making complete the Walmartization of the economy. It's family businesses that are going bankrupt and franchise/chain operations that are being financed to last out the recession. Except, we're working on a depression. They may emerge into a wasteland. Sucks for the young.

Restaurants are overpriced and typically staffed by apathetic SJWs. We rarely eat out.

Many coders in Seattle have 3 or 4 jobs all day, all night.

Many work for the majors there too like MS, Amazon, and Boeing.

Most leave and get a teaching job somewhere else.

It is not stable or reliable job category to raise a family.

As a single it works...but not for a family.

Maybe if you setup your own company and team coding that may pay enough, like as a small disadvantaged business.

Going forward no fiat finance will make any new contractor or self-employed job very difficult to maintain.

Millennials, etc cannot function without a smartphone and a utility bill. Take that away and they will just turn into animals.
