Absolutely not. The Chinese are the 'Jews' of Asia. Here in lies the problem with arm chair types like you: you don't know what you are talking about. Ethnic Chinese live in and often dominate the economies of Asian countries, to the point of being despised. I don't know how many would actually support the Red Chinese government. That's an open question.

John is spot on in his analysis of Asia.

--A guest from Seoul
I was referring to the possibility of the Japanese being perceived of as the "Jews of Asia", especially by the Chinese, due to the fact that the Japanese are (as a nationality/country) smarter, more industrious, more successful, and more of a "World Icon" than other asian populations.

It seems to me that the Chinese are more like the Colonialist English than the Jews of Western Eurasia.

The Chinese dominate very overtly, and by not only economic and political power, but also by increasing their populations in "host" countries.
The Japanese are completely different than the Chinese. The Chinese can integrate much more than the Japanese (who prefer to remain much more separate anyway). The Chinese will always be outsiders, but to a lesser extent than the Japanese, who are viewed as foreigners by others Asians as opposed to the Chinese. It's a bit complicated to explain. The Japanese are hated for their refusal to acknowledge (or even feel guilty about) the crimes of 1895-1945. The Chinese are hated because they are a ruthlessly efficient and highly cunning group of people. If I had to choose a motto for the ethnic Chinese, it would be 'We will survive."
Yeah,.. I think we agree that the Japanese are more the "Jews of Asia" than the Chinese. :)

The way that the Japanese AREN'T like the Jews is that the Japanese had a place to be Japanese.

The Chinese, God love 'em, are more like an infestation,.. perhaps even in their own "country". China is too big to be a "country", and unfortunately the basic formative principle of the various "Chinese peoples" is to make their territory a "family country" (a single family country).

Therefore, their empires eventually breed "extended family warfare" (aka Thanksgiving Dinner Syndrome) which makes for fissures and rebellions and conquest by foreigners and etcetera...

(( What is the equivalent of "Thanksgiving Dinner Syndrome" for non-USA'ers, by the way? ))

** 14-Feb-2019 Book Excerpt: China's historic incompetence compared to Japan

China's historic incompetence compared to Japan

As I wrote earlier, my objectives in writing this book have evolved,
and third objective came after the startling realization that China's
desire for revenge for its "Century of Humiliation" comes from the
fact that China has consistently and repeatedly been bested by Japan
since 1870.

Prior to World War II, the last time that Japan lost a major war in
Asia was in a war with Korea that climaxed on October 26, 1597, with
the Battle of Myongnyang, possibly the most significant battle in Asia
during the entire millennium. At that time, Korea was in a tributary
relationship with China, meaning that Korea paid China a great deal of
money, and in return, China agreed not to invade Korea and also agreed
to defend Korea from foreign enemies. The Koreans, supported by the
Chinese, with won a brilliant naval victory against the Japanese,
using technologically advanced "turtle ships," believed to be the
world's first ironclad warship.

Since that time, China has been consistently bested by Japan over and
over, militarily, economically, diplomatically, and in
governance.
  • Although both China and Japan were weakened by the Battle of
Myongnyang, Japan moved into the Tokugawa Era, governed by a Japanese
clan, until the Meiji Restoration in 1868, while China allowed itself
to be colonized by a small army of Manchus (the Qing Dynasty) for
three centuries, which it could easily have overthrown, even after the
    Taiping Rebellion (1850-64), until 1911.
  • After 1870, Japan adopted a constitution while China chose to
remain a colony of the Manchus
  • Japan navigated international law while China expressed contempt
    for international law
  • Around 1900, China declared war on the West (Boxer rebellion)
while Japan embraced the West (Anglo-Japanese Alliance)
  • Japan aggressively built its economy while China remained a feudal
    economy
  • Japan modernized its military while China retained ancient
military technology and an aging navy
  • Japan humiliated and defeated China in the First Sino-Japanese war
    (1894-95)
  • Japan forced China to accept the "21 Demands" (1915)
  • Japan outmaneuvered China at the Versailles peace treat conference
and had to be saved by Woodrow Wilson
  • Japan invaded and captured Manchuria from China (1931)
  • Japan invaded and defeated China with the Second Sino-Japanese War
(1937-45), including the "Rape of Nanking," and had to be saved from
    defeat by the United States.
  • Since WW II, Japan has become a respected member of the
international community, while China has done one stupid and
self-destructive thing after another, including the Great Leap
Forward, the Cultural Revolution, and the Tiananmen Square massacre,
resulting in the deaths of tens of millions of Chinese from man-made
    famine, starvation, execution, and rioting.
  • Japan has been a "developed" country for over a century, while
China is still an "undeveloped" country today.

This last point is worth emphasizing. China says it wants to be
"respected," but who can respect a country that BRAGS about being
undeveloped, so that it can take advantage of the perks.

China should be grateful to the United States, and should be thanking
the United States for saving China several times, especially in WW II,
but instead, they're developing nuclear missile systems to achieve the
"China Dream" of destroying the United States -- and themselves
in the process.

Even worse, China is turning into the same kind of barbaric monster,
with the same kinds of horrific atrocities, as Japan in the 1930s.
It's truly sickening to watch. That's why I've concluded that China's
demand for revenge against Japan is the crucible of the coming war in
Asia.

It's really depressing that China is letting itself go down the drain
and will drag all the rest of us down with them. At the same time,
it's worth pointing out that China will have its hands full fighting
Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, India, and Russia. Furthermore, China
has no experience fighting an external war, and is currently wasting
vast resources building a navy that might be useful in their fantasy
scenario of peacetime global force projection, but will not be
effective in fight China's neighbors on land.

** 14-Feb-2019 Biggest terror attack in years in India-controlled Kashmir

A convoy of 78 vehicles carrying over 2,500 Indian security forces
(Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF personnel) was attacked by a
jihadist driving a vehicle carrying over 200 kg of explosives. The
jihadist drove to the wrong side of the road and hit a CRPF bus,
killing about 40 jawans (security forces).

This was the deadliest error attack in India-controlled Jammu and
Kashmir. The attacker was identified as Adil Ahmed Dar from
Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

Pakistanis on twitter accounts have called it a Valentine's Day gift
to India. Some used the congratulatory phrase "How's the Jaish?"

There are three major Pakistan-sponsored jihadist groups operating in
Kashmir. Hizbul Mujahedeen (HM) is an indigenous, home-grown jihadist
group that became considerably more violent after the July 8 2016
death of HM leader Burhan Wani in a gunfight with the Indian army.
Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) is a relatively new indigenous jihadist group.
Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) is a Pakistan-based terrorist group that was
formed in the 1990s by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)
agency to fight India in the disputed regions of Kashmir and Jammu.

2018 was the bloodiest year in Kashmir in a decade, and this attack
suggests that 2019 could be worse.

This one major crucial point I have brought up in several forums. Despite the loss of life and treasure, the US has been honing her fighting skills since Gulf War I. Prior to that there were a lot of shortcomings that were only uncovered by field operations and actual combat. Now our armor, weapons, tactics and electronic coordination, drone use, etc. is superior to any adversary. There are major problems with our Navy but those issues are known and being addressed.

So I agree with the major conclusion that China will face destruction, but they still have enough nuclear firepower, massive troop manpower and cyber capabilities to cause devastation all over the globe.

** 15-Feb-2019 India-Pakistan tensions escalate after Kashmir terror attack

There are demands in India for revenge against Pakistan, following
Thursday's massive explosion that killed over 40 Indian security
police in India-controlled Kashmir. We reported this attack
yesterday, the worst terror attack in Kashmir in three decades.

The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has claimed credit for the
attack, where a local Indian high school named Adil Ahmed Dar drove an
explosive-laden vehicle into bus carrying the security police. Indian
investigators do not believe that Dar himself was capable of setting
up the vehicle, but believe instead that JeM terror experts from
Pakistan came to Kashmir, set up the vehicle, and asked Dar, who had
previously been radicalized, to carry out the attack.

It's not clear what revenge India can take against Pakistan,
which denies any involvement in the attack.

Some officials are calling for some kind of cross-border attack
into Pakistan, but it's unlikely that there's support for that.

India's prime minister Narendra Modi is promising to take diplomatic
revenge and to "completely isolate" Pakistan. This means that India
may restrict trade with Pakistan, and and will ask the UN Security
Council to condemn Pakistan in some way, although any such attempt
would be vetoed by Pakistan's all-weather friend China.

Kashmir was the epicenter of the bloody 1947 Partition War between
Hindus and Muslims that followed the partitioning of the Indian
subcontinent into India and Pakistan. Generational Dynamics predicts
that the 1947 war will be refought along the same fault line.

** 16-Feb-2018 Iran and India threaten Pakistan with revenge attacks

On Wednesday, a suicide car bomber drove a car laden with explosives
into a bus carrying members of the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps
(IRGC), killing over 40.

On Friday, a suicide car bomber drove a car laden with explosives into
a bus carrying members of India's Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF),
killing over 40.

Although Pakistan claims that it had nothing to do with either
attack, officials in the governments of both India and Iran
are blaming Pakistan, saying that if Pakistan's government
didn't directly order the attacks, then at the very least
Pakistan is "harboring terrorists," the ones that carried out
the attacks.

On Saturday, IRGC Commander Mohammad Ali Jafari said:
> "The Pakistani government, which has sheltered these
> anti-revolutionary and dangerous elements for Islam and knows
> where their hideouts are…, should be held accountable for the
> crime that has been committed. ...

> “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s determination will be strengthened
> by the blood of these martyrs. From now on, the patience that the
> (Iranian) establishment used to exercise in the face of such
> conspiracies and reactionary governments of the region, especially
> Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which are acting at the
> behest of the US and the Zionist regime, will be
> different."
As I've been saying for almost 15 years, in the coming Clash of
Civilizations world war, India, Iran, Russia and the West will be
pitted against China, Pakistan, and Sunni Muslim countries. We can
see these alliances growing each week.

According to an India-based analyst:
> "Despite specific intelligence Security Forces were not been able
> to detect the movement of a vehicle laden with over 100 kilograms
> of explosive on a road which should have been completely sanitized
> for the sizeable (and routine) troop movement. Despite improving
> intelligence flows on terrorist movement in the Valley, the
> agencies also failed to detect the entire process of acquisition
> of explosives and other materials, and the assembly of the VBIED,
> processes that would have required significant expertise and
> coordination, as well as the participation of an elaborate
> network."
Each attack used a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED).
Assembly of a VBIED requires a fair amount of expertise and
sophistication, much more than, say, an explosive vest. They've been
rarely used in the past, but the fact that VBIEDs were used in two
separate attacks near the borders at opposite ends of Pakistan, twice
in one week, suggests that "VBIED technology" is being developed
by Taliban-linked groups in Pakistan.

** 16-Feb-2019 Canada's arrest of Huawei's Meng Wanzhou requires military response from China

As I've been researching for my book on China, I've come across
something that represents a significant new angle on the arrest of
Huawei's CFO Meng Wanzhou by Canada in December. In January, the US
Dept. of Justice laid out a series of harsh indictments against Huawei
and Meng, and indicated that it was going ahead with the extradition
request for Meng to the US.

However, in 2017 China enacted the National Intelligence Law which,
among other things, requires Huawei and other companies to cooperate
with the military in gathering intelligence, and also promises to
proect anyone who does so. Article 7 of the law says:
> "All organizations and citizens shall, in accordance with the law,
> support, cooperate with, and collaborate in national intelligence
> work, and guard the secrecy of national intelligence work they are
> aware of. The state will protect individuals and organizations
> that support, cooperate with, and collaborate in national
> intelligence work."
That Huawei and every other Chinese company is required to cooperate
with China's military is nothing new. As we've been saying for six
years and is finally being increasing recognized by Western countries,
every Huawei device, including iPhones and routers, contains a
"backdoor" that permits the Chinese military to spy on it, collect
data, and even control it when necessary.

However, I want to focus now on the second sentence of the paragraph
above. It requires the government to "protect" individuals like
Huawei and Meng Wanzhou. From China's point of view, it's bad enough
that Meng Wanzhou is an extremely high profile individual -- daughter
of Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, who was previously an officer and
engineer in China's People's Liberation Army (PLA). But beyond that,
the National Intelligence Law specifically requires the Chinese
military to "protect" both Meng and Huawei.

China has already retaliated by arresting Canadians living in China on
phony charges, but this tactic hasn't worked. In fact, this tactic
really makes even less likely that Canada will release Meng, since
doing so would make it appear that Canada is caving in to Chinese
pressure.

Undoubtedly the Chinese military is at least thinking about some
"special forces" operation to grab Meng and get her out of Canada, and
undoubtedly the Canadian police are watching for such an operation.

If the Chinese military is unable to "protect" someone as important
and high profile as Meng Wanzhou, then it will undermine the
credibility of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). If we assume that
Meng will remain in Canada and then be extradited to the US where
she'll be put into an American prison, then the CCP will be
increasingly humiliated and infuriated.

Furthermore, if China is unable to protect Meng, then other
Chinese businesses will be reluctant to cooperate with the
military.

Regular readers are aware that I've said that China's war will almost
certainly begin with some "small" incident the escalates into
something larger, and eventually into World War. The arrest of Meng
Wanzhou could be that incident. Or, as we've been reporting in the
last few days, it may be something related to the massive terror
attacks in Iran and Kashmir, with increasingly harsh threats of
retaliation from Iran and India.
