Those are pretty dramatic figures. I wonder if they're accurate?
Taiwan News is pretty reliable. Is Tencent reliable? I don't know.

If this is true, it would explain why China does not want the American
CDC to investigate.

“Workplace rights have been pushed back 100 years with regard to job security, wage growth, benefits, and access to the employment laws,” he said, adding that many Americans have also been pushed out of jobs by Chinese visa workers."

CDC to investigate.
If its true its a disaster. The lock downs and illness everywhere will create chaos.
Does anyone have any idea how we can get a better insight?

This is a story about a Taiwan face mask manufacturer who paints
the Taiwan flag on the face mask.

I'm e-mailing an inquiry to a couple of people in the region, but
haven't yet heard anything back.

If you have any contacts in China or Asia, ask them. I don't think
anyone really knows what's going on, but it's worth a shot.

Al-Jazeera, BBC, RFI and most of the PBS stations let you watch or
listen online for free in either of two ways -- through a "listen
live!" link on their web sites, or through free mobile apps. I've
tried the mobile app to watch al-Jazeera on my Android, and it looked
pretty good.

These stations all have free podcasts of individual shows that you can
subscribe to.

The same is also true of many commercial stations, but you have to
check the web site to find out.

I'm in Asia, but not China. It's a mystery to us, too. I'm sure Asian governments must know the truth, but they stay quiet, except for brave Taiwan. The FM there is a tiger.
