This why lawyers should be banned from politics and the civil service. It will be a hard Brexit if the EU wants it to be. It's that simple. If the UK strikes oil again or develops some new technology that everyone wants, Brexit will be total and soft. The EU doesn't want it's slave to runaway lead a happy life; that would encourage other EU member states to break away too. It's that simple. Really.

Buyer's remorse with serious implications. A bit of karma here. The Brits abandoned Israel and gave weapons to arabs. They are now abandoning EU yet will experience consequences themselves. Throw in the invited "migrants" and they have far worse than a foggy day in Londontown.
American leftists learn nothing from the English on-going sinking sand of socialism/globalism. Idiocy on 2 continents. Inbreeding? Mental illness? Generations of public school liberal indoctrination? All of the foregoing?
England is far down the socialism drain. Can djt drain the swamp? Will Americans firmly reject failed socialism doctrine. We have a chance to choose in November.

John Cleese buggering off to Nevis (Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean) tells me all that I need to know about the situation in the UK.Guest 1 wrote:

Personally, I'm looking forward to the story (though perhaps not the particulars) of the oncoming "little civil wars" that will occur in the "developed nations". It's gonna be AMAZING...
