Assad has a reason for killing them and it is the psychology of hate (Romeo and Juliet). Once that hate is implanted and passed down generation after generation it begins to take on a life of its own. For Assad the extermination of these people is the end for him. I fail to see how this situation is any different from any of the past other than there being higher stakes leading there to be pressure to want to think otherwise. I am skeptical that there is any evidence to think this isn't Assad. Is it even logistically reasonable that a false flag attack could be pulled off against the wishes of Assad in such a short period of time?

If it is so certain that there was a gas attack, how come the US blocks any investigation by the UN? If the attack were real, proving it beyond all doubt would be a political coup on the world stage---only one reason to muddy the water--it was fake---just like the last one. And even if it was real, so what, it is but one drop of blood compared the the millions we killed in Iraq alone. Right now we kill children every day in Yemen.
