China has a severe food security problem. If China put tariffs on
American food, it would trigger mass riots in China's cities. If
China imported food from somewhere else, then whoever no longer got
that food would import American food. There's a shortage of food in
the world. Everything that the media have been saying today about
China putting tariffs on American food is total BS.

I think it and your mongoose would make a nice couple.

There are several story mongooses which have a snake for a best friend.

Well, maybe it, being a lizard, is like Vinnie Terrio, the gecko BFF of mongoose Sunil Nevla on Littlest Pet Shop.

Oh...... I must check out this Littlest Pet Shop thing!

Vinnie reminds me SO much of my cousin, named Vince, strangely, who is the ONE Italian in my extended family. He's got the same hair as Vinnie, too, although not green. Though, these days, it could be green. Although green hair on a mid 50ish fellow might a bit odd,.. although, this IS Vince the Drama Major and Theatrical Fencer we're talking about here.

My Vince's talent, though, is/was BS. He's extraordinary good at it. Annoyingly, and cloyingly, good at it, actually.

To think of it, I'm rather like Sunil. I'm reeeeealy bad at (doing) things until I really HAVE to do them, then I'm amazingly good. I'm also, as you well know, extremely pretentious.

Thanks for turning me on to THAT (potential) little gem, Mr. X! :)

The joke is on the Chicoms . . . they restricted their market so much that only the big dogs can even think of playing there, and most of those big dogs aren't in Trump's good graces. The President could give a hoot if GoogleFacebookApple get gutted in China. Even Obama friendly General Motors taking the shaft from the Chinese would fill Trump with glee.

The problem for China is that for every dollar we export to them, we IMPORT 7 THOUSAND dollars. They have no way to combat a trade war. In any scenario the US wins.

Seriously...with a $450Bn p.a. trade surplus Chicom will run out of retaliation...
