The Chinese increasingly unsubtle global push is reminescent of post WWII Russia. Those efforts imploded with their economy. (Yes, Putin is meddling in Syria.) Considering China's export trade, that solution seems unlikely. Trump would do well to read Hamilton's book or at least schedule a meet and greet. A quick survey of medical and tech building directories will reveal the depth of Chinese inroads here. Perhaps their schools have not been dumbed down by Common Core.
Of course the other factor is plain old greed along with cheap Chinese merchandise in big box stores. America First is more than a slogan.
