Actually in Chicago, the police have pulled back over the last couple years and we've seen the results of it. Wonder what's going to happen in Afghanistan when the full war breaks out.

You know, I would be more impressed with the 'Chicago' noise if people would actually express the difference between City of Chicago and Greater Chicago Metro Area.

The latter includes high crime cities such as Hammond IN and Milwaukee WI, which are not even in the same state as the city of Chicago.

The City of Chicago is not even in the top 100 list of dangerous cities by neighborhood scout.

These stats must be FAKE. Chicago is a hellhole.

I would walk down the street alone at 2 am in Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, or Taipei, but I wouldn't walk down the street in Chicago on a Sunday morning.

I agree. There's something wrong with that table. There were 252
shootings in Chicago in May alone, and they're bragging that it's
fewer than May of last year (311 shootings). That's 8-10 shootings
every day.

Here in Boston, there were 192 shootings the entire year 2016.

I lived in NC for decades and attended college in SC. No way Myrtle Beach, SC is more dangerous than Chicago. I don't remember anyone being shot and killed in MB in the 80s, 90s, or early-mid 2000s (when I left the Carolinas). I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it's definitely not common. How many people globally have even heard of MB? Most foreigners I meet know Chicago is a dangerous war zone.
