Hello John. Good to see some recognition on your end of this rapidly evolving election cycle.

However, one the of comments that always causes me to take pause is your continued blame of the subprime crisis on GenerationX. This could not be further from the truth. These acts were not being perpetrated by employees born between 1960 and 1980. If you look at the ages of the majority of those in upper management positions at the time of the financial crisis, the majority were born in the 1940s and 1950s. Those with experience in the corporate world know that decisions ultimately come from the top down. And we wonder why the their has been such a societal negligence towards rule adherence. Could it be that the majority of those born in the post war baby boom have an overwhelming sense that the rules do not apply to them?

Interesting to witness the increase in accountability as both GenerationX and the Millenials are beginning to hold their elders accountable. Of note is that both Bill and Hillary Clinton were born in 1946 and 1947 respectively, placing them in the heart of the baby boom. Are we also going to blame their actions on the younger generations?

As 2015 came to a close, the FBI and Justice Department had a general understanding that neither side would take major action on Clinton Foundation matters without meeting and discussing it first. In February, a meeting was held in Washington among FBI officials, public-integrity prosecutors and Leslie Caldwell, the head of the Justice Department’s criminal division. Prosecutors from the Eastern District of New York—Mr. Capers’ office—didn’t attend, these people said.

The public-integrity prosecutors weren’t impressed with the FBI presentation, people familiar with the discussion said. “The message was, ‘We’re done here,’ ” a person familiar with the matter said.

Justice Department officials became increasingly frustrated that the agents seemed to be disregarding or disobeying their instructions.

My apologies, you are correct. It was Rudd's way of skirting the issue, and it had minimal effect on people smuggling as most illegal immigrants saw it as a minor road bump on the way to Australia, and they were correct. I was confusing it with Abbott's policy of stopping the boats at sea in partnership with Indonesia, which has effectively and totally extinguished the trade in humans to Australia. Those remaining in detention are a hangover from Rudd's time. But again, the media has hyped up conditions in the centres, particularly the ABC.
