Bastards...

If we in the west had any balls whatsoever we would deny their murder-fleet passage through the channel and dare them to run the blockade, until Russia answers for its war crimes.

Putin will want to have it out with a Cuban missile crisis style stare down at some point anyway, if not just to humiliate us further, what better time than the present?

I guess none of us want to start a war and give up our comfortable lifestyles over the faceless unwashed residents of eastern Aleppo.

Do you ever look in the mirror and just cringe with embarrassment at the person staring back?
Politics is war by other means

We have $20 trillion of unpayable debt. Broken infrastructure. 63% labor participation.
Every time we fight a war, the enemy follows us home and wants a piece of the action.
The French can fix their problem, or the Germans, or the Italians, or the Belgians. Or the Dutch.
The message from the USA is not just no, but Hell No!

John - do you think it's possible the US will be involved in a direct conflict with Russia's military before we are aligned in a larger scale war? Hillary seems to be open to escalating over Syria. Not sure on Trump, but he seems less adversarial in regards to Russia. Thanks.

Nothing that either Trump or Clinton does would have any effect on
this issue. Also, there's almost no chance of any military conflict
with Russia.

Not sure of where the faux morality/guilt screeching originates but it surely not from thinking longer range. What you suggest is preposterous. Face down Putin in the English Channel …. And when we are engaged by the Russians do what? Go to war? Over a bunch of people that hate us?

You are right … “…none of us want to start a war and give up our comfortable lifestyles over the faceless unwashed residents of eastern Aleppo” Good Lord man where have you been? It is because THEY WANT TO KILL US…. As well as the Russians, and the Sunnis/Shias/Alawites/etc. etc., and any other group that disagrees with them. Let the Russians have the balls to do what Americans will not do even if some “innocents” must die.

As a combat veteran, I shed no tears for the hate filled occupiers of the destroyed hospitals, the hate filled women and children, and/or the environment for that matter. These people will not listen to reason…… good riddance to the good, bad, and ugly. And a hat tip to Russia for seeing through the glass clearly and not worrying about how the job gets done. In this case, the end does justify the means.

A question from the "Twilight Zone" or the "Dark Side"

Suppose you were Putin and "knew" something very important and crucial to the survival of Russia. And that something requires acquiring land to the south of Russia at any cost.

Why? Because Russia would soon not be able to grow ANY food because of possible "coming events". And even China, would be severely effected by this, forcing China to expand South as well. ( see current events )

What could that something be?

How about-

"Earth faces another ICE AGE within 15 YEARS as Russian scientists discover Sun 'cooling'" http://www.express.co.uk/news/science/7 ... r-activity

There was a Maunder Minimum https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maunder_Minimum -- which caused crop failure.

"As growing seasons shortened, food shortages spread, economies unraveled, and rebellions and revolutions were quick to follow. Cooling was not always the primary cause for contemporary disasters, but it often played an important role in exacerbating them. http://www.historicalclimatology.com/bl ... d-question

and what about--

European Space Agency: Magnetic north wandering south toward Siberia http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2 ... netic.html leading to a pole shift. "NASA Gives Warning About Earth Experiencing A Full Pole Shift Soon" http://www.trendingnewsarchive.com/2016 ... earth.html

What would you do?

Ah - just coo coo stuff -- fairy tails

"A long time ago, and far far away"
Nothing to think about.

cheers
