John how big a shovel do you use to get your head so deep in the ground to continually iignore what's going on in your own country? Like race riot in Milwaukee last night didn't happen. When will accept this Crisis War will be a civil war?

The situation in Milwaukee in no way resembles the situation in
Srinagar.

Sir, I live within range of artillery fire from one of the countries you write about often, and I can tell you the grind is starting to affect the people around me. Only the young seem to be unconcerned. The old know what it is to suffer because of war.

I feel the grind hard now. I hope that this strange feeling coming over me is not a premonition. The anxiety I now feel is very real. I have lived through war. I sincerely feel war is close again. I hope I don't survive if another war breaks out. I'm too old to start over again.

Thank you for your analysis. I read your web page every day.

God bless you and keep you safe, Sir.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I appreciate them greatly.

I agree with you completely about not wanting to survive. I sit here
in Cambridge Massachusetts in a place that would be considered heaven
compared to what you experience every day.

Still, I write every day about some of the most horrible things that
human beings are capable of, and even knowing that, without exception,
any human being of any religion or ethnicity is capable of these
atrocities under the right circumstances, circumstances that are quite
common in war. I would not survive for a day as a refugee. As I've
written many times, I look forward to the first Chinese missile that
strikes Cambridge, and I wonder if I should even wait that long.

I won't wish you a long life, but I will wish you whatever outcome for
yourself that you're hoping for. Thanks again for your message.

I must be missing something this quote...
Pakistan's envoy to India Abdul Basit, the Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi, said:
"Pakistan will continue to extend its full diplomatic, political and moral support to the valiant people of Jammu and Kashmir until they get their right to self-determination. ...
The only outstanding issue is how to liberate parts of J&K under illegal occupation of Islamabad. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, we are dedicating this year’s Independence Day to the freedom of Kashmir. And we firmly believe that the sacrifices made by the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not go in vain."
...doesn't make sense, why would the Pakistan's envoy reference the Kashmir as being " under the illegal occupation of Islamabad"? Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan, correct? It must be very obvious, but wouldn't he say that Kashmir is under the illegal occupation of New Delhi (aka India)?

Wow. I completely screwed that paragraph up. It's actually a quote
from an Indian minister criticizing Basit's remarks. I'll fix it
tomorrow. I'm too sleepy to do it now. Thanks for pointing it out.

Oh excellent, I am so glad that it didn't actually make sense. I thought I was losing reading comprehension skills. Looks good now!
