Before taking positions and advancing number of deaths, take care of your sources of information...
If I say : I am the pope, will you repeat after me : She is the pope???
That's exactly what you have done with the number of killed and the name mad men gave to our Sinai...
A bon entendeur Salut

Hi Mona,
I saw a lot of different numbers yesterday in different articles, and
I heard different numbers on BBC and AlJazeera. So I ended up picking
the numbers that I thought I had seen and heard most often.
I think the following is worth saying: The number of people killed in
North Sinai is probably very important to an Egyptian like yourself,
but outside of Egypt, I don't think it really matters at all. For
Americans, Europeans and others, just the fact that there was a
lengthy battle between Egyptian security forces and ISIS-linked
terrorists is the important story, and whether there were 50 deaths or
100 deaths is not significant -- in fact, having any deaths at all at
the hands of ISIS is bad enough to Westerners.
