You keep talking about the West joining forces with Russia in the next world war. I can't see that happening with what has been happening in the Ukraine, Syria, and Iran. We held our noses once and joined Russia to fight the Nazis (and Churchill lamented that fact by saying we had killed the wrong pig), but now it's the Russians acting like the Nazis. Are we going to sell out the Baltics, Ukraine, Poland, etc. and join Russia to fight Sunni Muslims? It seems ludicrious. Why does the West need to join forces with Russia? They are bankrolling most of our enemies anyway.

Unfortunately the claimed quote is not some harmless witticism, but a statement of regret that Britain had helped defeat Nazi Germany, instead of the Soviet Union.
It is normally used by revisionists to 'prove' that Churchill post war had come to realise that Communism was a greater danger than Nazi Germany had been and that Britain should have supported Nazi Germany in the war against the Soviet Union.
There is however, not the slightest reliable evidence that Churchill ever felt this way, or that he said anything in a similar vein.

Agreed on the unsourced nature. However, I don't find it impossible for him to have said it, especially if he'd had a bit to drink and felt he was in "safe company". We (almost) all say things amongst friends that are "not for publication".

World War II was fought mainly against the Nazis. The next
world war will be fought mainly against China.

Stalin had made a deal with Hitler that they would split up some
European countries between them, and in return Hitler wouldn't invade
Russia. So Stalin almost went into a catatonic shock when Hitler did
invade. Hitler made a total fool out of Stalin.

Now we see Putin cozying up to his pals in China, probably thinking
that with all his energy deals and SCO meetings and agriculture deals
that China won't invade Russia's Far East. But it looks to me that Xi
Jinping is going to make a total fool out of Putin, the same way that
Hitler made a total fool out of Stalin.

In the end, Russia and China are going to be on opposite sides.
Russia and India are very close allies, while China and Pakistan are
very close allies. India is a very close ally of both Iran and the
United States.

So yes, the United States, Iran and Russia will all be allies.
