Listen to what people say, then watch what they do to determine what they really believe. If kumbya is the watch word of the day between India, and China, then to what end is India the world's largest importer of weapons, and why does India continue to spend millions to develop an ICBM capable of reaching every city in China.

A thousand Chinese troops enter into India during Xi's state visit to India. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/indi ... 774889.cms
A loose Chinese military cannon -- a Chinese military mistake of coordination? Or a calculated political maneuver by Xi while on a state visit to India?
This might exhibit a decided lack of Chinese internal civilian control (if such a thing exists in China, civilian control that is) over the Chinese military; or alternately could exhibit in Xi a nerve not seen in China in a very long time. Or it may simply be a not too subtle message for India to stay out of the East/South China Sea Chinese adventures.
Regardless of which it might be, it appears as though kumbaya isn't as kumbaya (1920s folk tune that came back into vogue in the 1950s and 60s; it became synonymous with warmth, love, and understanding) between India, and China as it was a a couple of days ago. Perhaps India shouldn't be too hasty in canceling any of their arms purchase agreements, based upon the love and understanding expressed by Xi, and Modi over the last couple of days; unless, of course, India's Modi is planning upon subscribing to the Obama foreign policy doctrine, and is considering surrendering to China.
Listen to what I say, but watch what I do to know what I really believe.

The Chinese and Indians are both attempting to play each other. Neither side trusts nor likes each other. The summit should never have happened. It was a farce from the beginning.
India should follow Australia and buy submarines from Japan. Russians subs are a substandard.
Japan's opening arms market is going to be a bonanza for the Japanese economy, a great help to buyers, and dreadful for the Chinese, who have only themselves to thank for this situation, i.e., Japan opening its arms industry to foreign buyers.
