The first thing the moron has to learn, is to shut-the-fuck-up. Telling the enemy just exactly what you won't do, and explicitly what your intentions are before you do them is the mark of the galactically stupid, and the hallmark of a rank amateur - Obama is unqualified to lead a Cub Scout troop, much less the US military.

The really happy campers in all of this mess are Xi, and Putin... for the Obama reduced US military will be tied down in both Iraq, and Afghanistan - no jeopardy for either Russia, or China in either the Ukraine, or the East/South China Sea. Just a suggestion, but perhaps we might want to wait to RIF (reduction-in-force) the 500 majors, and 1000 captains that Obama intended to toss out of the military as unnecessary.

Obama appears to not only be unqualified for where he finds himself, he appears to be impervious to learning from his past mistakes. Oh, yeah, that's right, I forgot, he doesn't make mistakes, so there is no necessity for Obama to engage in any sort of reflection - ever. For, over the last six years if you listen to him, he has engaged in one long, and continuous string of stunning foreign policy successes. Or, if you won't grant him stunning foreign policy successes, then at the very least you must grant that he has certainly engaged in some of the most spectacularly stunning taxpayer funded vacations ever taken by an occupant of the WH.

Obamas' stupidity is simply beyond comprehension, he appears to learn nothing from past catastrophes. Next week appears to be Obama's idea of long term military planning, and geopolitical events.

Heaven help us.

Ok, come on. At least mention in your current items that Obama went to Congress a year ago for authorization to use force in Syria. Congress refused to act and it was very clear the rank and file would not approve the use of force.

Had Obama started action in Syria without approval, he'd have faced impeachment, that was made very clear and was all over every far right news and comment site:

for example. So a President whose foreign policy is hogtied against aggression by Congress is personally weak and inept because he won't set himself up for impeachment. That's not very logical.

Suggest that you return to MediaMatters. My comments pertain to the merit of telling an enemy, any enemy, your intentions prior to the initiation of hostilities - exactly what this lawless President - Obama - did yesterday. And exactly what Obama did prior to the positioning of American Naval forces in the Med during the Syrian debacle. It was during the Syrian extravaganza where in the context of intense public outrage at his dictatorial actions, actions taken before "requesting" Congressional approval from an incensed Congress who had had enough of his dictatorial rule by fiat. In that context Congress, a Congress who after five years of watching a lawless President simply ignore any restrictions born of the Constitution rule of law, refused to give him anything. It was that incensed Congress who refused to grant him "the time of day" to use American forces for any purpose, much less some delusional self-declared "limited" manner in Syria. As though by so stating his limited Syrian "intent" he might magically limit the scope of any resultant conflict.

Stay on topic.

But, so long as you attempted to distort, deceive, and delude, let me note the hopes that circumstances will be altered in the 2014 elections. Circumstances that will not just permit the drafting of the Articles of Impeachment in the House, but circumstances that will bring about Obama's conviction in the resultant Senate trial. Both actions that one may hope will assure that Obama will not just be tried for impeachment, and not just be convicted and removed from office, but shall result in him spending a considerable amount of the remainder of his life as a ward of the state for abuse of power, fraud, and treason. But weep no bitter tears for him, for you sir, and those who think like you are in fact the real problem; for the time is coming when we will try those like you for treason also so that you may keep him and Holder company in their quaint little state sponsored "vacation" spot

I hope you are right, the way things are going it could get real nasty. This usually happens when people won't call a spade a spade and act accordingly.

Start a journal, history may want to know how it failed so quickly... we may in fact be living through the end of the Republic, i.e. Franklin's great experiment.
