Yet the first European Parliament with neo-nazi members (two or three in Greece, one in Germany) is a VERY scary piece of news.

Sorry, something happened.
France's far right Front Nationale party
National is spelled without an "e" at the end (nationale is the feminine)
By the way, the Dutch far-right party has collapsed to a mediocre fourth rank : it seems voters got tired of attacks on Islam and put austerity as their main preoccupation. Marine Le Pen, UKIP in England, Syriza (not a far-right party) in Greece, others lists such as the communists in Portugal won because they cleverly attacked the Euro and claim to have been vindicated by the Euro crisis.
However, the first European Parliament with neo-nazi members (two ot three in Greece, one in Germany) remains a VERY scary piece of news.

Thanks for the correction. I changed the article. I'm in good
company though. Several of the media articles that I have on file
spell it "Front Nationale" with an e.

I think the US has other options here:

1) Stoke internal rebellion in China

This would not be difficult. China is corrupt. The government is widely disliked (even hated) by the average Chinese. Heavy handed police tactics have also alienated many of the Chinese. There are riots and murders of policemen and government officials on a daily basis. The ethnic problems can also be exploited. The Han Chinese are obnoxious rulers. Tens of millions of ethnic, cultural, and linguistic minorities are already seething. Simply start to funnel arms into China and problems will begin in earnest. The economy remains the true Achilles' heel of China. With automation and 3D printing, factories are closing in China and creating hordes of unemployed Chinese. That will lead to even more unrest. The Chinese are also angry about pollution. That will only get worse. The Chinese are dependent on food imports. Squeeze them. China is not a pillar of strength. China is a house of cards.

2) Support rival Asian nations

Supply friendly nations with weapons and advisors. Also, encourage the containment of China. Encircle them. I think China is doing a really good job of scaring all of its neighbors already.

3) Biological weapons

I know, I know. I'm a madman. But, consider what we face: a genocidal China hell bent on dominating all of Asia (and perhaps beyond). It would be easy to engineer diseases that could easily be taken for naturally occurring in China's grossly polluted eco-system. The water is already deadly toxic. Speed up the process.

We could facing complete and utter destruction. We have to think of preserving ourselves. In a world of depleting resources, you can never underestimate your enemies. And you must be prepared to anything to save your own people. The Chinese wouldn't hesitate. Why should we?

Since the "protest" vote got a third and the EU supporting group received the other two-thirds, why should one think things will change?
The people in the European Council in Brussels sill have the power and they may think this will just go away, or they may think they must double down and do more, as before, -- to change the people's views of course.

However, if the people in desperation, take to the streets with violence, then the EU will just bring out the "police" and impose EU rules. After all that is how you keep the serfs in line and maintain power over others. Unless Mr. Guillotine is brought out by the masses, then things may get worse. ---- Interesting how power over others and tyranny are connected.

The methodology of tyranny, from --http://www.constitution.org/tyr/prin_tyr.htm

The methods used to overthrow a constitutional order and establish a tyranny are well-known. However, despite this awareness, it is surprising how those who have no intention of perpetrating a tyranny can slip into these methods and bring about a tyranny despite their best intentions. Tyranny does not have to be deliberate. Tyrants can fool themselves as thoroughly as they fool everyone else.

Control of public information and opinion
It begins with withholding information, and leads to putting out false or misleading information. A government can develop ministries of propaganda under many guises. They typically call it "public information" or "marketing".

Vote fraud used to prevent the election of reformers
It doesn't matter which of the two major party candidates are elected if no real reformer can get nominated, and when news services start knowing the outcomes of elections before it is possible for them to know, then the votes are not being honestly counted.

Undue official influence on trials and juries
Nonrandom selection of jury panels, exclusion of those opposed to the law, exclusion of the jury from hearing argument on the law, exclusion of private prosecutors from access to the grand jury, and prevention of parties and their counsels from making effective arguments or challenging the government.

Usurpation of undelegated powers
This is usually done with popular support for solving some problem, or to redistribute wealth to the advantage of the supporters of the dominant faction, but it soon leads to the deprivation of rights of minorities and individuals.

Seeking a government monopoly on the capability and use of armed force
The first signs are efforts to register or restrict the possession and use of firearms, initially under the guise of "protecting" the public, which, when it actually results in increased crime, provides a basis for further disarmament efforts affecting more people and more weapons.

Militarization of law enforcement
Declaring a "war on crime" that becomes a war on civil liberties. Preparation of military forces for internal policing duties.

Infiltration and subversion of citizen groups that could be forces for reform
Internal spying and surveillance is the beginning. A sign is false prosecutions of their leaders.

Suppression of investigators and whistleblowers
When people who try to uncover high level wrongdoing are threatened, that is a sign the system is not only riddled with corruption, but that the corruption has passed the threshold into active tyranny.

Use of the law for competition suppression
It begins with the dominant faction winning support by paying off their supporters and suppressing their supporters' competitors, but leads to public officials themselves engaging in illegal activities and using the law to suppress independent competitors. A good example of this is narcotics trafficking.

Subversion of internal checks and balances
This involves the appointment to key positions of persons who can be controlled by their sponsors, and who are then induced to do illegal things. The worst way in which this occurs is in the appointment of judges that will go along with unconstitutional acts by the other branches.

Creation of a class of officials who are above the law
This is indicated by dismissal of charges for wrongdoing against persons who are "following orders".

Increasing dependency of the people on government
The classic approach to domination of the people is to first take everything they have away from them, then make them compliant with the demands of the rulers to get anything back again.

Increasing public ignorance of their civic duties and reluctance to perform them
When the people avoid doing things like voting and serving in militias and juries, tyranny is not far behind.

Use of staged events to produce popular support
Acts of terrorism, blamed on political opponents, followed immediately with well-prepared proposals for increased powers and budgets for suppressive agencies. Sometimes called a Reichstag plot.

Conversion of rights into privileges
Requiring licenses and permits for doing things that the government does not have the delegated power to restrict, except by due process in which the burden of proof is on the petitioner.

Political correctness
Many if not most people are susceptible to being recruited to engage in repressive actions against disfavored views or behaviors, and led to pave the way for the dominance of tyrannical government.

In the comment section from from the UK Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... qus_thread

' .. notably the political forces represented in the European Commission, have overall won once again. They are indeed those with the biggest representation in the new European Parliament.'

Which means the EU Commission is in charge, has its stooges in a majority in the EU Parliament, and has scored another victory over populism, ie., democracy.

'The concerns of those who voted in protest or did not vote are best addressed through decisive political action for growth and jobs, and through a truly democratic debate.'

A debate on the place of democracy in the EU? I believe he means, how to finally suppress any expression of national populism or even worse, patriotism, which in the minds of the EU elite are synonymous with fascism.

'It is now of the essence to have a clear understanding on political priorities for the next political cycle, so that a proper institutional transition according to the treaty rules demonstrates the Union's capacity to act. I expect the results of this election to be respected in the decisions taken by all the European institutions, namely the European Council and the European Parliament".

Which means the unelected President of the unelected EU Commission calls on the elected leaders of nation states and the elected MEPs to fall into line and move forward, as required by the Treaties of the EU and led by the Commission, towards federation; banking and fiscal union first to end the euro crisis and then full political union.

and ------------

You know grasshopper, there's an old Chinese proverb by Sun Txu, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable" Aha so!
