John, question, if Putin (Russia) is stirring things up and linking up with China, why would Russia join the US against China etc, in the next great war? Is this kinda like Stalin hooking up with the US against Hitler? Or is it something else?
John you say the people push events, like this picture of young girls making Molotov cocktails in Odessa? Or is this just youthful exuberance? https://twitter.com/howardamos/status/4 ... 7918965760

The phrase that I like to use is "forced to choose." In normal times, gerald wrote: > John, question, if Putin (Russia) is stirring things up and

it's easy to avoid making serious choices, or to stay neutral, or on
one side or the other for purely political reasons. But during a
generational crisis war, you're forced to choose one side or the
other, and it's a life or death decision. So, given that it's a life
or death decision, when Russia is forced to choose, will they choose
China+Pakistan or will they choose India+U.S.?
By the way, "Stalin hooking up with the US against Hitler" doesn't
exactly describe what happened. Stalin had signed a neutrality pact
with Hitler, and was caught completely unprepared when Hitler invaded.

Yes, Hitler and Stalin signed a neutrality pact, and the US did aid Stalin against Hitler. ( Stalin was unsure whether Germany or Japan would attack Russia, that was of course decided when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Stalin could then concentrate on Hitler and be less concerned with Japan invading Russia's far East. Stalin was fearful of a two front war and was relieved that Japan attacked the US, because Japan would then be occupied with the US ) However, what would you call an agreement between Hitler and Stalin to divide and "annex" the respective half's of Poland, before Hitler invaded the Soviet Union?John wrote:The phrase that I like to use is "forced to choose." Also, it should be noted that many of the seeds causing the issues in the Ukraine to day were laid down by Stalin, -- source for the above -- " Bloodlands" Europe between Hitler and Stalin".
