With a decorated war hero like Kerry defending the United States we should just eliminate the entire U.S. Army. The U.S. Army is not needed. Kerry has our back. However, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry allayed all those concerns on Thursday by announcing that he had just spoken to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who assured him that large-scale Russian military exercises near the Ukrainian border were previously scheduled and not connected in any way to the unrest in Ukraine

Land invasion from Russia would more likely be oriented toward annexing the entire East Bank of the Dnipro River, the lands that have been under the control of Russia for a large portion of the last several hundred years.Concerns are rising that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is about to begin, possibly with the objective of annexing Crimea to Russia, in the same way that Russia annexed two provinces of Georgia by means of an invasion in 2008.
The southern portions of Ukraine around Odessa and the Crimea are susceptible to occupation by troops landed by sea, and are less likely to require ground troops.
Other than Kiev, Odessa and the southern coast along the black sea, occupation of the portion of the Ukraine west of the Dnipro River is less likely.
