I am by no means an expert in economic concepts but it has always stumped me as to why China is referred to as an emerging economic power. It would seem they are fully developed economically.Maybe they aren't in the same "circles" as the western nations? "East" vs "West" should have no bearing on economic policies in the "world" economy. East vs West is more of a society/culture designation.
