Yes. It is hard to ascribe definitely if that was actually what took place. Control is a strong and perhaps incorrect word. All I know is what I felt. I rarely wake in the dead of night. What I went though when I awoke was easily one of the worst sensations of my life. When I was in it it felt something akin to a sort of hell. Like everything I thought I knew was a lie and that I had lost touch with reality. I was told the next day (if I recall correctly) that I have a long road a head of me. I suspect with time it will make sense, but if what I think happened in fact did then I suspect it was an attempt to derail whatever that long road is.

wasn't all just a bad dream? That's what it sounds like.

Most likely a demon, instead of the devil proper, but that's really neither here nor there.

The "use" of desperation, that "all hope is lost", is the most obvious sign that you are sensing that some "evil" is trying to convince "people like you" (everyman) of the inevitability of "evil winning".

One allows the demonic to "control us". It can't actually control us. But it can be wise to allow the "possession" for a limited time, as it's a great way to learn the ways of the demonic, and be strengthened by that learning.

When the day came, you disallowed your "controller", which is a very good sign.

The goal of "it" was to demoralize you. The goal of "the situation" was to strengthen you.

You've been warned about "the TV". You've been warned that you COULD go insane, but aren't now. You now know what "being controlled by" evil feels like. You can see the difference between reality and not-reality. You know that "utter aloneness" is not what you experience now and that it is undesirable. You know people can help you. You've now experienced what "possibly interminable (never ending)" anguish (desperation) feels like.

So, what's the take away? Don't ever allow yourself to fall into despair. Demons can always be dispelled by simply shooing (shewing?) them away with a hand flick. A simple "this too shall pass" is all that's necessary.

Even "inevitable evils", such as the nearly inevitable upcoming world war, are no cause for despair.

All things play out, and all things come to an end. And then,.. existence continues.
