Both local camps will not like the answer.
Some may begin to understand why its still on paper and pencil on the topic above.
Identity politics is always spin some.
The term concrete action will suffice.

Below as monitored.
According to the monetarist view, what buried Rome was inflation stemming from government spending and adulteration of the coinage, coupled with what Mikhail Rostovtzoff deemed to be over-taxation of the middle class. But what actually led to fiscal and monetary breakdown in the every major society from Babylonia through the Roman and Byzantine empires to more modern times was the ability of large property owners to break free of taxes. The Roman treasury was bankrupted by wealthy landowners using their control of the senate to shift the fiscal burden onto classes below them. Lacking the means to pay, these classes were driven below the break-even point. As debt deflation drained the economy of money, barter arrangements ensued. Trade collapsed and the economy shrunk into local self-sufficient manor units.

Since we got here in 1641 lead was currency backed by gunpowder to assure we are left alone to prosper and add value.

Yea we already thought of that also.

You’d better get prepared for the coming civil war, because that’s exactly where Democrats are pushing this. It now seems obvious that the only way to stop the lawless, treasonous Democrats is for a million armed Americans to descend upon Washington D.C. and take the necessary steps to defend the republic and restore the rule of law under our duly elected President Donald J. Trump.

That day is rapidly approaching, exactly as I’ve warned for nearly three years.

Golden ratio from 2000 and 2007 S&P highs = December 27, 2019

30 years from Nikkei bubble top = December 29, 2019 (very important market tops can occur in December)

45 year top in 1929, low in 1974, top in late 2019 or early 2020 ideally = January 8, 2020

Since there are many important dates here, if the top does occur in this area, it's not likely any one date will determine.
I have no doubt that the top is close
One reason I'm short is that in this topsy turvy world it would not surprise me at all to see these latter dates above as crash lows, even at this late date.

Is that a prediction? No.

Do I think it will happen? No.

Would I be surprised if it did happen? Not at all.

Graham Allison (Seven Deadly Scenarios) and the recent news about North Korea's "Christmas Gift" are ways it can happen. Or simply Deutsche Bank no longer being contained.

Baby out with the bathwater ill bite. sho is on point also as read.
H it's an actual hanging man pattern, the lower shadow is at least two times as long as the body. Traders want to see that long lower shadow to verify that sellers stepped in aggressively at some point during the formation of that candle.
Let the deadwood burn itself out for now. The butthurt reports will be epic.

Orienting reflex, is an organism's immediate response to a change in its environment.

In the end, it’s a word that says more about the helplessness of the accuser than it does the transgressor.

Level I - pathological defences (i.e. psychotic denial, delusional projection)
Level II - immature defences (i.e. fantasy, projection, passive aggression, acting out)

We will admonish the gaze bias for now only.

There are a lot of nuances and debate possible with this type of thing; for example, it could be countered that where the SPX opened today was distorted due to quadruple witching and maybe it would have opened near the close had that not been the case, etc., and that might make it a doji, which I guess is the officially required middle candle in a potential abandoned baby pattern. I don't go by any of that; all of my trading is based on the feel of the market, the order flow, and the one minute chart (mostly). This does have the feel of a top, but Fed liquidity injections make it much more difficult to judge and seem to trump any of this at times. Part of my judgement of the feel was, yes, there was a huge, quick dump toward 3223.50 ES near the close that was bought back up.

The dump at the close can be seen here with the volume, and it was very fast, probably all happened in 3 seconds and it popped right back up. Probably somewhere around 15,000 lots were sold at the market there.
