Put your money in a bank?

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-1 ... money-dies

On Sunday in Brisbane the G20 will announce that bank deposits are just part of commercial banks’ capital structure, and also that they are far from the most senior portion of that structure. With deposits then subjected to a decline in nominal value following a bank failure, it is self-evident that a bank deposit is no longer money in the way a banknote is.

and negative interest rates -- just wonderful --

About time for "The National Bank of Mattress"? -- and we thought our grandparents were nuts? --- hmmm

on another note --

The government was forced to admit that paper was no longer a viable medium of exchange and in 1455 paper money was abandoned and silver became the legal currency for the next five hundred years.” -- China -- same old same old

"A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism." --Alynski

Obama Care Exchange Fails - Taken Offline due to Failed federal Subroutines that calculate Federal Tax Credits

Roll out at 8:00 AM taken out of service at 11:25 a.m.

The Exchange's quality control process has determined that 2015 tax credit amounts are currently being incorrectly calculated. As a result the Exchange is taking Washington Healthplanfinder offline in order to resolve the issue.

...

The Exchange and DSHS staff will be working closely together to identify the solution and hope to have the site back up as soon as possible. Privileged users are advised to not process paper applications until further notice.

Obama Care - Expanding to cover Millions of new individuals with free Health Care
.
.
Based on the new interface to the Obama Care exchange in Washington State free medical care through Expanded Medicaid is being offered to new large classes of individuals:

1. Non U.S. Citizens who self identify as other than illegal aliens. The explanation explaining the term legal alien indicates that if you have been given any papers then you are "Legal".

2. Full time College Students.

HealthCare.gov experiences some early hiccups

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nati ... /19085637/

Across the U.S. state-run exchanges were having mixed success enrolling people. Washington state had to take its exchange offline to resolve a problem in which 2015 tax credit amounts were being incorrectly calculated for customers. In Colorado, plans that include cost-sharing subsidies weren't showing up for broker Louise Norris, who also got frequent error messages as she navigated the site.

At least she was able to enroll customers. Brokers at the Health Insurance Store of Louisiana in Baton Rouge weren't able to do that until early afternoon. Owner Will Chapman says none of the 10 agents or their clients could log into accounts until about 1 p.m. CT Saturday.

Question --

Why should employers pay for health care and retirement and not the employee? - so that the employee knows what it is costing? yea I know, politicians need votes and need to hide the costs for the things they promised.
More are employees and fewer are employers, so where are the votes? --- but what happens we no one wants to be an employer? --- the former Soviet Union -- "they pretend to pay us, we pretend to work" = collapse.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The owners of Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City said in a court filing that they expect to close the boardwalk property on or before Dec. 12.

The letter warned that the Taj Mahal would close unless Unite Here dropped its appeal of the October bankruptcy court opinion allowing Trump Entertainment to reject the Unite Here labor contract.

That move was designed, among other things, to eliminate company-sponsored health insurance and to end company contributions to a defined-benefit pension plan.

Employers in the United States did so voluntarily.

The government encouraged it for the public good through tax deductibility of corporate payments for employee health care costs.

Obama promised that Obama Care would not change this voluntary employer health care system, but again, he knowingly lied about that.

Now large corporate employers are moving to Obama Care compliant employer sponsored health care plans for two reasons.

1. The corporations will save huge dollars by shifting costs to the employees and discourage the use of health care with huge new deductibles that apply to diagnostic tests and lab work ( which is the opposite of long term practice of employers ).

2. The law forces such changes as a result of employers making very minor changes to their grandfathered health care plans. This allows the employer to claim, truthfully, they were forced to make the changes by federal law.

It is what it is. It changes the status quo. But it also has sever economic and political impact on the average full time worker in the United States.

Health Care costs are dropping.

This will only accelerate as employees with employer sponsored, Obamacare compliant, health care plans, and individuals with private health care insurance purchased through the Obamacare exchanges, learn that they must now pay out of pocket for most of their health care, even if they have insurance.

Anyone who works full time will discover they can no longer afford to use health care unless they are near death.

Add to this the millions of individuals being added to the expanded Medicaid program where doctors, insurance companies and the states are all delaying and blocking access to needed health care.

When the use of health care is drastically reduced, then health care costs will drop.

Add to this that most studies only look at government, employer and health insurance company health care costs ( and ignore those costs paid by the patient outside of health insurance ) and the drop will appear much more dramatic.
