Free will is a prerequisite for ethics, not the other way around. For many philosophers, free decisions are required to be moral decisions. They fail to distinguish between ordinary responsibilities (fiduciary, financial, leadership) and moral responsibility. This was a commonplace in ancient times. Socrates and Plato argued that "virtue is knowledge." This meant that a lack of virtue was simply a lack of knowledge. We could not be responsible for our bad actions, because we did them out of ignorance. Aristotle disagreed. He said that our bad actions could also depend on us, even when we were doing them as a matter of habits formed long ago, as long as we are at least partially responsible for forming our habits and character. The Scholastics thought that we are free when our decisions are rational. For them, good meant rational, so this was a variation of the ethical fallacy.
We are unfree and slaves to our passions when our decisions are evil. We call this the rational fallacy. w7

Conscience is the sentinel of virtue.

History, in due time, will arrange everything for the best. It does not need the advice of mortal men.
We are moving forward. Thus, a few more may simply realize the condition.
Let the dead bury the dead as we had been told. He will lift or place the seal as He wishes.
This partial narrative was the discussion on why early is wrong when I was looking for the 85 handle on wti

alpha fails, to see and beta can endure. Theta burn was discussed here and covers much ground on the inertia
of the human condition.

It was a path chosen to deny facts which gravitated Socrates humilty to confront avarice which positioned Plato to unwarranted indulgences.

No, they like to show that they "support" their coal miners, but it's only show. Ask miners who get hurt in the mines why the company sends a safety officer to the hospital with them. Ask why they push to have the miner take a drug test before anything else, why they try to convince the doctor to use glue instead of stitches so they don't have to report a more serious accident to MSHA.

They will be applied, perhaps slightly disguised with a camouflage of social sensitivity and lots of crocodile tears, regardless of the outcome of the elections.

It seems Greece has a primary budget surplus equal to 4.5% of GNP. So basically 4.5% of their GNP is being used to pay the interest on their debt. If/when they default the government and country get to keep that money and will be doing far better. It makes all the sense in the world to default. I think they can do this without leaving the Euro.

Is it not interesting that banks will pay you less then 1% interest on a deposit { The average savings account has a measly 0.06% APY (annual percentage yield, or interest), and many of the nation's biggest banks pay rates as low as 0.01%.}(http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card- ... p-2121.php , but they will charge you 15% or more on a credit card. -- Average credit card interest rates rise to 15.07 percent (http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card- ... p-2121.php)

And who is the loan shark?, and the government does nothing? , but wants ( supposedly ) economic activity to increase and yet don't know why people aren't spending? Yet the velocity of money decreases https://www.google.com/search?q=velocit ... B800%3B480
