You keep using the argument that since you're beating the bots, therefore no bot can ever be better than you are. You must know that argument doesn't make sense. You made that argument several times, and I ignored it, but the last time I felt I had to answer it by saying that
you're beating the average bots, not the best bots.

I've already demonstrated that I can beat the bots at their own game where they are advantaged by the exchanges by placing their computers in close proximity and front run orders, as well as place fractional bids that I am not allowed to.

The billionaires are still humans and there's no Deep Blue equivalent trading computer that's amassed a billion dollars and there won't be.

The concept of knowing intuitively when to abandon one method and devise another is important and speaks to the inherent nonlinearity of markets that Ken Fisher refers to as a reason that computers will never beat the best human traders.

My take is that by definition AI computers can't value equity because equity is worth zero to an AI computer. AI computers can only guess how humans will value the worth of equity.

There's been a lot written about the advances in AI and often the first example pointed to is that computers can trade better than humans. I can affirmatively state that I am smashing the shit out of these computers daily. I can see what they do and they are about as smart as cockroaches.

The argument I've made is the following:
1. I can easily beat the bots (plural, i.e., collectively).
2. The best bots cannot beat the best human traders.
3. The best bots will never be able to beat the best human traders because the bots cannot value equity (by definition).
4. I am not in the class of best human traders by a long shot.

This is my latest futures account snapshot for the year. I am continuing to beat the bots. As to whether I can beat the best bot, there is no way to measure that because I'm not competing against the best bot directly. And, for sure, my toughest competition is the best human traders in the world anyway. Some of those human traders may use computers to aid their decision making, but I don't. I only look at charts, bid/ask, and sometimes market book and volume.

These results are based on thousands of contracts traded (somewhere around 10,000), mostly from the short side, in a market near a record high.

The trades were done on a retail platform. The trades were pure directional trades, not arbitrage or spread trades.

We have made a preliminary deal.

The terms are:

24% increase in salary (over what I was making when I left last year)
I get my own cubicle
No "designated felon" status (i.e. I will not be one of their licensed engineers)

We're not done yet, though.

I'll let you know when it gets finalized and I'm actually back at work.

We're still not done and it appears now that no deal will be made.

When we last sat down, they placed a new job description in front of me that said I will responsible for X and Y, where previously I was responsible for X. It amounts to a doubling of work load and responsibility and it was asked whether I would be willing to work nights and weekends. I stated that I did not know much about Y and, when technical questions were asked, subtly answered them incorrectly or omitted important points.

Now we are at an impasse and I heard from a little bird that it has been stated internally that they are searching for alternative candidates, but that I have not been excluded. I have heard nothing directly since the last sit down on August 9.

It seems things are getting tougher by the month as we grind further into the new dark age. That last sit down was completely off the reality chart.
