First, I want to thank John for starting this website, and this forum. I've been carefully reading the draft of his book, and I must confess to "buying into" generational dynamics ... slowly, but surely. It explains a lot that historians have never adequately accounted for. I also thank John for giving the daily world news to a website that is my primary "hangout".

I am a 63-year old retired professor of philosophy, taking my fourth career change in life. I'm a PhD graduate of Princeton, and a veteran of the Vietnam War ... 101st Airborne (blood upon the risers). I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and possibly having some spirited discussions.

Thank you! After all these years, those words still mean a lot.

We may or may not ever know the truth. These divided factions of our society reached their conclusions long before Zimmerman put a bullet into Martin.

In the better late than never department, Stephen, I'd like to add my
thanks for your service as well. Having served in Vietnam, you're
also much more aware than most of the differences in attitudes of
people -- much more anti-war in the 1960s, versus much more
nationalistic today and during WW II. And as a professor of
philosophy, you probably have a broader view of what's going on in the
world than most. Thanks for being here.

Welcome to the forum samueljordan! As you already probably know, this place rocks with information that can guide and you can use more than you'll find anywhere...especially that which is nowhere to be found on the 24/7 news and so-called information boob tube.
