Unfortunately, the RSS feed no longer works, and the way that I
implemented it no longer works at all. I'm going to have to figure
out another way to do it. But there probably won't be an RSS feed for
a while.

I discovered that this version of PHPbb has a built-in RSS feed
capability, which I've now enabled.

The new RSS feed address is:

feed://gdxforum.com/forum/feed.php

I've tried it, and it works.

I've just installed the latest version of phpBB. Everything looks OK from
here, but if there are any problems, let me know.

Finally cleaned out a lot of spam and other crap this morning, some of
which has been lying around for weeks.

This morning I updated the forum to version 3.1.6. Let me know if
there are any problems.

When we go to "Web log" to read the current day post it has over 100 days worth of posts which makes for a very large page. For older phones paying per byte for cell phone data, this is slow and costly. Also if I am someplace with a weak wifi link it can be slow. Could you reduce the number of past posts that show up with the current day post? Maybe like the last 10 posts.

That setting has to be changed manually, which I sometimes forget to
do for a long while. Making it change automatically would require
modifying my software. I'll put it on my list of things to do.
Anyway, I've just set the cutoff manually to last month, so hopefully
you'll be ok for a while.

As requested by FishbellykanakaDude, I've created a sub-forum called
"The Mixer," which is "for partying, fun, gossip, conundrums,
flirting, comedy, tragedy, or whatever."

I've also created a thread called "Water Cooler," which is like the
office water cooler, where people stand around gossiping. You can
create your own threads for partying and fun.

Have fun!

...whoo-hoo! Now,.. can we get some donuts delivered on a semi-regular basis?

<pause>

OK,.. I'll bring the donuts. And some good Irish Breakfast Tea, as bags, of course. I'll TRY to make some iced tea, but I can't promise a constant supply of that. Also, I will NOT be supplying soda,.. you'll have to bring your own.

..the occasional dram of Green Spot Single Pot uisce beatha WILL be provided, at great expense, by meself, as I never drink alone.

Aloha, nā mahalo, and partay Partay PARTAY..!! :) <shaka nui!>
