Question for John: poison gas (WWII) and nukes (WWIII)

Post by Tom Mazanec »

John, you have repeatedly asserted that all arsenals of nuclear weapons will be used up in the CoCWW.
World War II was a genocidal crisis war (It even resulted in the coining of "genocidal").
Adolph Hitler was the ultimate real world Supervillain, giving rise to tropes such as Godwin's Law and Hitler assassinating Time Travelers.
Poison gas was a real thing in 1939, and Hitler had the best (nerve gas).
He did not use it in warfare.
If the ultimate weapon of WWII was not used even by a character so evil, how can you be sure the Ultimate Weapon of WWIII will be used?

My understanding is that using something like nerve gas is not very
effective because it blows back over your own troops. I don't doubt
for a moment that Hitler would have used nerve gas if he had thought
that he could win with it.

Well, fallout blows back on your own territory just as easily.
I guess we will see...

No, I don't think it does.

Actually, we won't see. At least I won't see.

I was using "we" collectively. Unless the CoC war kills everyone, someone will see.
