Winter is Coming

Am I the only one who thinks that the A Song of Ice and Fire quote: "Winter is coming" is disturbingly accurate about what's going on in the world today? Instead of preparing for it, all the elites of the continent play political games, backstab each other, care mostly about what they feel they are entitled to. When winter arrives, thanks to all their games, far, far more people are going to die than if they had prepared accordingly.

Right now, I'm seeing a very similar scenario play out in both the United States and Europe. The corruption, the lying, the fraud... all of this going on while we have a growing threat on our hands. We're going to end up paying rather dearly for this when the war actually starts, assuming it hasn't already.
