Generational hormone cycle theory (oxytocin & vasopressin)

Post by janmi »

Hi all,

There is something I would like to share at this forum, something that might be of interest to especially anyone who is familiar with the Strauss-Howe generational theory. It's beginning to look like the generations are actually formed by hormone levels, meaning that every generation has a hormone profile that correlates with the Strauss-Howe generational theory. The hormones involved are oxytocin and vasopressin, which are the paramount social hormones, and since hormones control the mood, a synchronized levels of these hormones cause the shifts in social mood that Howe & Strauss documented and built their generational theory on.

Here is the link to the theory: https://jannemiettinen.fi/FourthTurning/maintext.html

Some questions regarding this theory have already been answered in this thread: http://generational-theory.com/forum/thread-5675.html

Even though the theory is not 100% complete (due to the very complex nature of issues at hand), it already can withstand pretty much any critique thrown at it. Therefore, all questions and comments are very welcome!
