Re: Climate Change
The problem lies in the difference between what scientists actually publish and what politicians and "interested parties" claim. Reliable data on worldwide temps has been available from the 1970's on, and that's all satellite data. Prior to that, any data is suspect. Much of the ground based data is...

Re: Climate Change
To modify the climate would not be hard, simply orbiting a few thousand Echo type balloon satellites would be enough to divert sunlight, though it would be a lot more efficient to unfold them flat and include a small ion drive to help maintain orbit against light pressure. Cool the MidEast so it rai...

Then why is the US Navy bothering to patrol the Arctic Ocean? The melt has caused a lot of political friction between Russia and the US over who owns the subsea resources. http://www.ecoworld.com/nature/russias-arctic-circle-claims-worry-nato.html http://www2.canada.com/topics/news/story.html?id=163...

By hocking the house, so to speak, he and others say they are simply borrowing low ...

Re: Financial topics
Just pointing out the obvious, generally speaking, large corporations have not done badly during times of high taxes. This is due to the fact that governments do not buy small items save in huge lots, and mostly buy large items in large lots. IOW, the money from high taxes rolls back into large corp...

Re: Financial topics
Jason, I'd think John would be very happy over that piece of news. Obviously, you just proved that removing a law while the Silents were in control had no bad effect, and neither did the community reinvestment act (passed in the same time frame), until the time came that people were in charge who ha...

Re: Financial topics
On the CO2 issue, nobody has argued that CO2 directly causes this much difference. The arguement is that CO2 causes a small increase in temp, which causes increased water vapor in the atmosphere, which is responsible for the bulk of the temp increase. Personally, I think it's due more to microflakin...
