Re: 23-Mar-16 World View -- Generational view of Tuesday's terror attack in Brussels, Belgium / Gone With The Wind

"The psychology of the situation is that both sides in a crisis war commit atrocities that they want to forget, and so they have no desire to talk about what happened, except in the broadest terms. If you're a soldier whose comrade was beheaded by the enemy, you don't want to admit that you got even...

The one flaw of the GI and Silent generations is that they failed to pass on their wisdom to their children. I agree that Baby Boomers and Gen X-ers do not have the wisdom of their parent's generations.

Re: 8-Mar-16 World View -- Turkey and Hungary play hardball at EU-Turkey refugee summit

Good points Solomani. Also, another problem with absorbing this current wave of refugees is that, judging by their actions and words, they do not want to assimilate into the cultures of their host countries. Therein lies the rub.

The passing of Nancy Reagan has touched me more deeply than I expected. I was never a fan of Ms. Reagan before today, but when I saw the video tributes about her life...I realized that with her passing, so goes her generation. She was my last living connection to the society and culture of my youth....

Re: 6-Mar-16 World View -- Turkey's 'shameful day for free press' as government seizes Zaman media / Felhullah Gülen
