Re: Financial topics

Margin debt is all the rage this week to run away like the monte python skit
as dumb money to smart indicator intersects.
While invectives rule the inter week volumes mute the vix is suspected may just be so.
Maybe they will come out and play at 15x forward earning as they still play with dolls from another time tested confidence
brighter than the Sun. I think V your project will get some funding and yea do not be that guy who left it on table
to damn long in options. It looks like after last weeks sweeps they are reloading short positions.
Either way the gaps to be filled are already slated in. The easy money it watching the store chains
being looted for EBITDA margin. No surprises at hand so maybe its priced in was the meme of the week.
Dead cats and yea margin debt will finally finish off the genuises.

Looks like they got the memo.

Lance Roberts of Real Investment Advice analyzes margin debt in the larger context that includes free cash accounts and credit balances in margin accounts. Essentially, he calculates the Credit Balance as the sum of Free Credit Cash Accounts and Credit Balances in Margin Accounts minus Margin Debt. Very good person to listen to. https://status.advisorperspectives.com/ ... n-november

Me I see some sideways action but watch PPI and BIS GDP issues for and into late January. EBITDA margin still is in the swirl for the end of year furloughs.

March 2023 and yes it has a 100 percent record to date calling it. https://www.conference-board.org/us/

Re: Financial topics

Some of this history of the Financial Panic of 1914 shows up in Liaquat Ahamed’s Lords of Finance

Review on John's conveyance from some time ago on the issue.

If you can find it I would like to read it again. Please and thanks.
** Investors commemorate the false panic of Monday, October 19, 1987

The other two major books on this subject are Saving the City: the Great Financial Crisis of 1914 by Richard Roberts,
and When Washington Shut Down Wall Street: The Great Financial Crisis of 1914 and the Origins of America’s Monetary Supremacy by William Silber.

Events that I think H was referring to as the loop effect.

I don’t trust MMT at all. I don’t want a government with an infinite pocketbook. By the time the printers fail and the debased currency has hit up against real-world constraints, millions of people have had their lives ruined or cut short. George.

Chief Molek and the Cult Herd are like over heated livestock foaming at the mouth.
Then the presstitutes convey the conservative Roberts court denied then.
They have the right to pay up some where else and yea they can refund my tax money from these sick minded butchering idiots.
Just maybe Texas does not want to end up like the other cities on the plan erased like before.
These category one polo-tics barely fit a sane category anymore.

Re: Financial topics

1853 quote from Republican economist Amasa Walker:

"... corporations change the relation of man to wealth. When a man has his property in his own hands, and manages it himself, he is responsible for the manner in which he does it. He does not delegate his power over it to anybody else. But when the management of property is put into the hands of corporations, the many delegate the power of managing it to the few; and that is an important consideration, when we reflect that nearly half of the wealth in this plication for redress were made to individual stockholders, what would be their reply. Very certainly they would say: " We have no personal responsibility in the matter; we submit the entire management of the factory to our directors and those they employ."
This is a fair illustration of the matter, and it clearly shows that the moral responsibility of wealth is destroyed by being aggregated into corporations, of which it is said, with terrible truthfulness, that " they have into the hands of incorporated companies.
It aggregates power, of course, and necessarily, all the property of the Commonwealth, included in these corporations, must be put into the hands of a very few men, having absolute power over it for the time being. Hence, the agent of a factory, natural relation between capital and labor."

State has passed from the hands of individuals no souls.

dusty old book

Some key quotes which pretty much encapsulate the entire horrifying story:

In the majority opinion of the court, Justice Kennedy writes: "The Court has recognized that First Amendment protection extends to corporations."
Concurring, Chief Justice Roberts wrote of his fear that if the decision had gone the other way, "First Amendment rights could be confined to individuals, subverting the vibrant public discourse that is at the foundation of our democracy."

...And Justice Scalia, equating corporate money with free speech wrote "We should celebrate rather than condemn the addition of this speech to the public debate."

In dissent, Justice Stevens wrote "While American democracy is imperfect, few outside the majority of this Court would have thought its flaws included a dearth of corporate money in politics."

crazy old people

January 21, 2010, the Supreme Court issued a ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.
The Court held that such disagreements may be corrected by shareholders through the procedures of corporate democracy.

Bureaucratic Resistance and the Deep State Myth. by Rebecca Ingber.
October 18, 2019. The last three years have been a time of great crisis for the U.S. executive branch bureaucracy, and for the U.S. presidency. Career officials have fled their agencies in record numbers, taking their lifetime of expertise and institutional memory with them.

Come: I will show thee the damnation of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters,
With whom have committed fornication the kings of the earth, and the inhabitants of the earth are
drunken with the wine of her fornication.

Never fight the tape.
They are not democrats.
Just because they have a roof does not mean they are not homeless.

Texas Rep Dan Crenshaw who summed things up rather well:
"This was always their intent. It’s not enough that their favorite villain is gone.
Now they have to paint tens of millions of Americans as racists and bigots.
Truly vile, but incredibly predictable.

Demsheviks are getting nervous. Biden is circling the drain.
You where warned about Roberts.

To a extent it is the mess left over from the John Roberts (supreme court) ruling that a fine was a tax.
So please stop this gaslighting with statistics. The point is government is entirely to blame.

Stalins view moving forward. 'perestroika' meant 're-shoeing' - as of a horse: that is to say, not of the regime itself, but of the system's means to consolidate its power. Mastery of human consciousness should be a paramount political objective. As Richard Pipes has pointed out [in 'Survival is Not Enough', Simon and Schuster, New York, 1984, page 80], 'such mastery is secured, in the first place, by control of the organs of information'. The objective is 'to control thought at the source - that is, in the mind that absorbs and processes the information - and the best way of accomplishing this is by shaping words and phrases in the desired manner'.
Moreover control of the Western mind is to be achieved not only by means of the dishonest use of language, but also through operations to demoralise the West - through corrosive attacks on society's institutions, the active promotion of drug abuse, and the spread of agnosticism, nihilism, permissiveness and concerted attacks on the family in order to destabilise society. Religion and the traditional cultural and moral hegemony must first be destroyed, before the revolution can be successful The still unproven assumption of the strategists is that with Western society 'deconstructed', its leaders will meekly accept and cooperate...

It amazes me how far the GOP has actually fallen.

Monin and Levine and Roberts even on that level ignored mechanism inputs.

I would revert back a step to coupling and the lag phase we are in for now.

Iran now considers Hezbollah its primary Lebanese interlocutor.
Iraq and Lebanon in particular have been staging grounds for the region's proxy wars.
Both are home to Iran-linked armed groups.

They will now promptly starve right were they stand as our people have witnessed before.

Russia has been the source of the ME's problems since at least 1945 when they wouldn't remove their troops and tanks from Iran
and backed Israel coming into existence so they could provoke wars in the ME.
