Re: Financial topics

UST has a price that moves in sync with the price of Terra’s native cryptocurrency LUNA. The bank run that disentangled UST’s peg to the U.S. dollar also collapsed LUNA’s price, which crashed over 99% in two days to less than a cent. Earlier this year, UST and LUNA had a combined market cap of $60 billion, and now it’s under $7 billion.
The fallout has just started. There are yield aggregators that use UST as collateral and God knows what other complex financial strategies built on top of UST that are now at risk. People have lost their life savings; there are tears and depression.

Once you discover you can steal and get away with it, it's very hard to stop.
Not sure that I agree with you: Let's start with power because it's easier: According to 1st Baron Acton: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" This is a very commonly held view which I don't agree with - I think that power heightens pre-existing tendencies. And it's the same with theft and other morality. Theft starts with the little things, like cheating your expense claims, and then slowly bigger and bigger. The important point is that people who commit theft thinks it's okay to steal but its not okay to get caught. So also it's okay to cheat on your wife as long as she never finds out. The list is endless. And your don't need much brain power to understand why people with less morality are in positions of societal authority, and can perpetuate economic fraud. And societal authority need not be positional but intellectual, so it includes the "blighters" who conceptualised CDO's some years ago.
I think that "the most corrupting power imaginable" refers to what the power to print money does to corrupt the society as a whole. It forces honest people who have nothing to do with the decision to print money to turn to corruption in order to survive.

My comment refers to the fact that printing money is really stealing. Those who print money realize that, and are a bit cautious at first. But once they realize that the masses of people can't connect the dots, and they really are getting away with the stealing, the floodgates open as they are now. Along that vein, I definitely agree with you that those who commit theft by printing money think it's OK to steal but not OK to get caught. All the Federal Reserve Chairmen from Greenspan on definitely believe that stealing from the public by printing money is OK as long as they can trick the people into thinking it is OK or even beneficial to print money.

Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end,
for it will still come at the appointed time. Daniel 11:35

לָבַן

as long as the church is present

The denominative verb לבן (laban), meaning to make bricks.
The latter two are used in succession in Genesis 11:3, where the tower builders say, "Let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly".

it seems preferable to adopt the first connection, and to take the adverb with the verb. In the whole of the passage there is an evident allusion to an evil prevalent in the age of Solomon, viz. the presence of bands of robbers, or banditti, who disturbed the security and internal peace of the country. In the New Testament the same state of things continued, and is alluded to by our Lord in the parable of the man who fell among thieves.

"What is the virtue which saves?"

relieve all that are in distress and necessity

The liberal cannot fathom evil must be removed.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Acton

The government must remove the evil at the source.

As we are warned from those they have chosen evil and now you will learn the actual cost of it.

The drug cartels dictate local action as I stood guard until one was incarcerated again.
Liberalism is a mental disorder. One commited murder served two decades and released.
In the process was apprehended trying to murder once again. It was a contract killing of two women with children
to be burned alive. Providence and two deputies prevented the slaughter.
In the process my daughter and grandchild were targeted for murder.
Costly process to negate and lasting realites.
Armed guard so they could sleep. That was me.
If up to me i would of hellfired missiled all of them in that criminal network as such without loss of sleep or mores
to final judgement.

The cartels do not own the earth or the american taxpayer yet.

Now it is on your doorstep.

Could really be enough to kick off a hyperinflation feedback loop.
No

They have enough free cash flow from cluster plants to dirty float as was the nature and still is.
As we seen here in GD forums before both indexes match. Dr Koo made his points
very clear here some time back on neo classical defense spending role he seen viable.

"Currency manipulation is not a route to competitiveness, it is a soft alternative to hard explanations to the electorate."

It is leveling the playing field with a the "wasting" process on numerous levels which is the seen and unseen as hayek knew.

I will not comment on what he meant since its already a done deal. It does mirror the Chicago School mindset which we
refer to as fresh water economics. The point was parity we fingered some time back here on the scatter chart seen.
I will dig it up when I get more time. From that time forward the politics blew a rather simple fact many never seen
since it offered breathing room, that would be safe to proffer.

The financial engineers have indeed destroyed more than they can ever offer now.

Re: Financial topics

Good summary on the GD phases to the social renditions of intent. In my view it was circa 1986 and 2004 to shifts of many social metrics. For clarification it was summarized as another kuznet cycle in our early discussions to try to fit the Business cycle seen in the actual K wave. A venn diagram would and did suffice on the spillover to the wasting process of intent. As noted FDR had some good commentary I may not of liked but we must remember the lessons already seen coming from a apologetic standpoint to pericopic avarices noted as walking in circles from the Augustine ethic to defuse top down issues festering, or as we know unleashed. Later Churchill noted "that for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." Productivity changes the view and indeed John asked a valid preposition on the log value. I had to counter with it is another name for exponents as it is anyways and pattern recognitions in cluster groups constructed and lets say, measured. Granted his script is correct on the social constructs as we measure the damages of the dynamics. As we know the encyclical values of the cycle is not equal to the same throughput measures they use, and that the rub of the mathematical gibberish even the actual Keynesians understood since Alfred Marshall. I still consider the actual conversation on the paradox of thrift insurmountable from Utility that we measured, or lets say observed for brevity in that topic to the wasting process. They actually do care less since they are relegated in affairs to the Fabian overlords. Acton was correct when that times comes to reel them in they will lack resolve.

Logically, every voter should be ashamed of trying to screw his fellow citizens, since voters always select the candidate who promises benefits that someone else will have to pay for. t

People do not know what the tea party is as much as Americans know the difference between small l or big L politics
as wage arbiters or sticky wages as phase three is being unleashed.

GATT NAFTA, and now TransPacific Parnership (TPP),with the current hope of growing the economy to solve unemployment are doomed to failure so wake up to the next predicated cycle and scale to it now which is you alone. The promise of competing in the global economy is a hoax perpetrated upon the working and unemployed people of this country because over time a nation needs to buy and sell overseas in roughly equivalent amounts. Those who think we can continue to have business as usual will use increasingly desperate means. If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he'll eat you last. What we need is neither anti-socialism nor anti-communism but an open positive endorsement of that system to which we owe all the wealth that distinguishes our age from the comparatively straitened conditions of ages gone by.
Most of these thought are from Acton and the principles of a free market. What we see coming indeed you are not prepared for. GD can only note the rate of confusion since Americans know the differences on why we understand the cost of not having the Constitution. As noted before those who think for themselves are under attack. Americans indeed have larger issues between the ears.

As John noted --- Russia has brought this violent blowback on itself, by providing enormous amounts of the heavy weapons to the Shia/Alawite al-Assad to use to exterminate Sunni women and children in Syria. This has caused Sunni jihadists to declare that it's their sacred duty to help the oppressed people in Syria, making Syria the center of jihadist activity in the Mideast, and inflaming sectarian tensions throughout the region.
