The university where I teach is in the throes of "diversity and inclusion" indoctrination now. We were instructed to include our preferred "gender pronouns" in our email return address information. I selected "zoo, zim, zip." Since it's not allowed to question the gender anyone might decide to be on any given day, I have gotten away with it. It's a small win, but I take any opportunity I can to mock woke culture. I'm one of only a handful of conservative professors on campus and have had many mandatory meetings with our "Diversity Committee" due to my lectures offending some of my "woke" students. My tenure allows me to ignore the department mandate to include "woke" assignments and to thumb my nose at the Diversity Committee. But, I'm becoming more jaded daily, having to witness the travesty my university passes off as education today. Send your kids to a private Christian university if at all possible.
