Re: Why has Mexico not had a crisis in so long?
John, http://www.generationaldynamics.com/cgi-bin/D.PL?s=9Jx6aB&d=ww2010.book.depression#lab100198 says that the 2000s were supposed to be the decade of the next Great Depression. Obviously, that didn't happen. We may have had bad recessions, but certainly not a depression. I'm in the process of rea...

Re: Why has Mexico not had a crisis in so long?
Could you explain more about the Fifth Turning please? Do you have suggestions of historical events, battles, or periods where I should study in order to learn more? Oh, and something I was thinking- is there any way to come up with percentages, or probabilities of events? I was thinking it might be...

Re: Why has Mexico not had a crisis in so long?
Wow, you took a lot of time to respond to my questions with pretty extensive and satisfactory answers. Thank you for taking your time! According to the theory, if there is a war every (approximately) 80 years or so, does that mean there will be a Crisis war for America in the year 2025, plus or minu...

Re: Skipping a generation: parental influence vs. peer influ
According to wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_boomer, the Baby Boomers were born from 1946 to 1964. 1964 minus 1946 is 18 years. That means that the younger must be from 1955 onward, and the 9 years before that must be the older. But the man is 35, born in 1950, making him old. The woman is 30, born in 1955,...

Re: Why has Mexico not had a crisis in so long?
When could we expect a crisis to develop in Mexico? And could the flux of foreign immigrants into a country be predictable? Surely it has an effect on both the country with the large amount of immigrants and the country losing them.
Any ideas?

Re: Why has Mexico not had a crisis in so long?
http://www.migrationinformation.org/usfocus/display.cfm?id=679#6 Here's a statistic I found supporting the first hypothesis. I can't help but emphasize, "About 11% of everyone born in Mexico is currently living in the U.S." http://pewresearch.org/pubs/1191/mexican-immigrants-in-america-largest-group...

Skipping a generation: parental influence vs. peer influence
Here is a hypothetical: what if a Boomer couple meets and marries in, perhaps, 1985 or so- maybe the man is 35 and the woman is 30. They would have skipped a generation. Would the child born then identify with the generation of their peers, the millenials, or generation x, because he/she is the chil...
