This is the velocity of money, split out for M1 and M2: I like Hussman's article explaining how interest rates impact velocity of money: Show some respect to John. I for one agree 100% with John, that guy is mega smart. I'll go with John's deflation. There will be no hyperinflation Vincecate at all...

Please keep on topic. No need to double post (SPAM) about gold and silver in different forums. OK This is clearly a gender issue. This weblog didn't have these issues until you arrived. But I will respect the fairer sex and ensure that detail is directed to the correct forum, Mam. Listen buddy. Why...

Bet we see $1,000 bills in the next 3 years. Wonder how hard it is to get ATMs to handle them. Please keep...

Good for Slovakia to stand up like this. They are truly smart and thinking for the people who elected them rather than the bankers.

Re: Occupy Wall Street protests I just wanted to say, good for you Americans who are standing up against the bailouts! For the past few years I wondered why the typical American allowed themselves to be taken advantage of by the banks, wall street and the ongoing fraud. Good to see Americans are now...

Re: Financial topics
The dollar will strengthen very much. Eventually people will realize that the U.S. dollar is the last and biggest bubble on the planet. This will be the death of the dollar...When this ends, the dollar will not be the reserve currency of the world. I would use this next nine months to buy gold and ...

and is a well know biased gold bull. Just wondering? Do you resent people making money out of gold? As a matter of sentiment or logic? Neither. In today's world, you have a lot of greed, fear and fraud. People recommend X investment not because it's good, but because they have a position in it. Eve...

This is why I'm not short. Higgie, here is another view by Dr Clive Roffey who uses Elliott Wave and has a very good track record. Its on the Dow and his commentary is on the chart: Dr Clive Roffey has been famously critised for not producing or providing a documented track record and is a well kno...

There is one more spanner I'd like to throw into the deflation/inflation and bull/bear market theory... that of retiring boomers. It "started" 2 years ago and has a run of 10-(15?) years. This is a time when consumption will drop, jobs will disapear and debt will have to be repaid or defaulted on. P...
