@Navigator - Totally agree...If/when the electric power goes out, people generally suffer tremendously without their electronic devices. Preparations should be made to plan accordingly.

There could be a cyber attack on our infrastructure that takes down the electric grid, maybe not the entire grid, perhaps rolling blackouts. In this technology era, who doesn't need or use electricity?

Also, China had a one child per family policy for 25-30 years, so there are millions more young men in China than women. China will be using these young men in the next war to serve their country.

Wow. If it weren't for Generational Dynamics, I would have no idea that China is like a pressure cooker ready to explode. The news is all about Russia, Russia, Russia, rarely about China except for trade war with the U.S. I am already 70, so in 5 years, I may or may not be one of the surviving 3-4 b...

Oh no. I would hate to see this site shut down. Although I rarely post, I highly value your writings and other commentary. Years ago, you had saved the Fourth Turning forum of Neil Howe. I would hope both of these sites could be forever saved.

Higgie - That is an interesting perspective that the market exchanges could be closed arbitrarily at some point in time. Nothing moves in or out. Mutual funds frozen, etc. That would be a panic.
