I've often thought that it's very weird that the ethnic minority cultures in Russia (Russian Federation) actually seem to be ENCOURAGED by the government (as long as their muslim-ness isn't accentuated)!

But, perhaps, it's because even the Russians realize that those minorities more "naturally" dislike (hate) the Chinese than they do the Russians, and the Russian mindset is all about "buffer zones" between themselves and their "real" enemies?

The Han people in China are becoming spoiled and complacent (and nationalistic and supremacist), and seem hell bent on pissing off, and on, their neighbors.

We'll see if Nationalism and Ethnic-Supremacy completely trump obvious observation and common sense in the Chinese.

Perhaps WWIII will be a quick flash-bang followed by the entire planet stomping the CRAP out of the Han elite?

Shades of Soviet era block parties. These were weekly meetings during which indoctrination was followed by sessions of ratting on your neighbors, Hitler youth style. China's aggression takes several forms as John has pointed out. The economic high interest carrot is proving to be successful.
