John - What would the model predict for Western Europe? Is the post WW2 unity merely a pause that will be shattered by nationalism and, finally, war between the various countries? For sure nationalism is on the rise, UKIP, Le Pen’s FN, Golden Dawn in Greece and I believe factions also in Germany et al. Will they band together against Russia/China etc. (some "external" foe) or will the NATO countries break apart and begin fighting each other; perhaps a case where economic collapse brings hardship to the point that those from Eastern Europe are no longer welcome/tolerated so that the communist bloc is reborn out of necessity (a topic I will leave for later-Putin's next moves viz a vie the West and China)?
